I began the embroideries of the front skirt for my Saber cosplay. I used two different stiches and two different colors to give some contrast to the pattern. I added transparent beads to make it more feminine looking.
I used an embroidery pattern printed in 1902 which I found recently. It was an original unused model: the ink was still present in the verso page (to reproduce easily the pattern) but the ink was too old to use: I reproduced the pattern on the fabric with a paper pen.
A little advice if you want to use embrodery technics.
-Use a wood circle (I don’t know if it’s the exact name T__T): it will keep the fabric tight, giving you a precise and elegant result.
-trace with a paper pen or a special sewing pen the drawings and details you want to sew
-there are several kinds of threads: metallic, glittery, mate…choices are endless!
-don’t forget to use google to find different embrodery technics. ^^
