Petticoat from hell!
Spring Holidays began ! I am lucky to dust my sewing tools with the first sunny days of the year. Away from copybooks and endless papers, I now have enough time to truly start my new cosplay projects.
I have began the corset sewing pattern for my Hyrule warriors cosplay! I will probably make a muslim , meaning I will test the pattern with a cheap fabric before making the final version.
I also decided to make a new petticoat since my old one isn’t solid enough to support heavy dresses. It didn’t hold the skirts I wore as Saber Lily.
I used tutorials and maths to create it. The main problem was adjusting the impossible manga anatomy of the figure to a normal human size AND staying close to the original reference.
I used maths (rule of 3, proportionnality) to know the width and height of the final skirt.
I used this tutorial from Selene Cosplays and workshop to build each part of the petticoat.
The most boring part is sewing together each band: I hate making folds T___T.
I have to order the bones which will hold the hoopskirt, I hope to receive them soon!
